Start with the exact model.

Before using a wiring diagram or parser example, match it to the model label and document revision. Keep these six fields beside your project notes so another person can follow the same references.

The six fields to collect

  1. Exact model — Copy the full part number, suffix and any identified configuration. Keep the label photo or source reference with the record.
  2. Document trail — Record the publisher, title, revision or date, URL and relevant page. Mark a missing revision as unverified.
  3. Power requirements — Find the stated supply limits and current conditions for this model. Record the document location for each value.
  4. Electrical interface — Match the connector view, pin numbers, signal directions and voltage levels to the same model and revision.
  5. UART format and units — Record the serial settings, frame definition, validation rule and distance unit from the applicable source.
  6. Results and timing — Separate the returned status, measurement flags and deadline conditions. Keep unresolved behavior visible.

Choose a reference

The ErdiLRF guide covers the model definitions included in version 0.1.1. Generated-byte examples examine software behavior; electrical compatibility and physical sensor performance require their own evidence.
